The new Afro-highlife song ‘We Are One’, which was composed and produced by the group THE CODE, relays messages of unity, oneness, resilience, courage, equality and human dignity. It emphasizes the need to push back against inhumanity and all forms of violence.

The song is a result of a human rights media advocacy project by Levites Initiative for Freedom and enlightenment (LIFFE) a human rights organization in Nigeria working to reconcile sexuality with spirituality.

The project was funded by Initiative Sankofa D’Afrique De L’Ouest (ISADO) with the aim of developing the talents of  LGBTIQ+ Nigerians interested in music, LIFFE stated.
